This was the first comic I read by the author after their name change, and it’s become one of my absolute favorites (^^). I used to strongly associate this creator with idol-themed stories and fragile characters, but this work stands out with an overwhelming level of cuteness and devoted affection…!! There are painful depictions set in the underworld, and scenes involving bloodshed from run-ins with delinquents, so readers who are sensitive to that should take caution. Still, the way Miyako-kun earnestly does his best as a bodyguard to protect the protagonist creates an irresistible gap. I also love how Toka-kun, who’s been by his side since childhood, is completely weak to Miyako-kun’s cute face. Simply the best—pure comfort.

The greatest enemy appears—Toka-kun’s older brother, Shige-san.

With the arrival of Shige-san, Toka-kun’s older brother who had been studying abroad, Miyako-kun’s flames of jealousy burn fiercely. Declaring that he’ll overcome anything for Toka-kun’s sake, he boldly takes on a school exam. His not-so-great academic skills only double his charm, completely grabbing the readers’ hearts with a fierce grip (^^). He’s quite the character with some serious quirks, so if you’re into that type, he might just become your new favorite?! (From a fan who has already fallen hard)
