Ichijinsha gateau comics “Kimi ni Sosogu” — let me introduce this title!

The following is quoted from the back cover. This review does touch on the story’s content! If you just want a quick overview!! I’d be happy if you read only the red text and highlighted sections.

It’s frustrating when you can’t quite put your feelings into words, yet when they finally reach someone, it feels unbearably precious…―――――

One day on campus. A student was quietly watching me being affectionate with a cute boy. Noticing that gaze―――――the two of us meet.

The student introduced himself as “Yuichi Ando”. That encounter sparks Sho Oshima’s interest in him. Ando keeps to himself—poised, dignified, and beautifully composed. The complete opposite of me. Drawn to Ando with growing intensity, Oshima can’t help himself and suddenly steals a kiss

Sho Oshima, the most easygoing guy on campus

Yuichi Ando, the most rigid guy on campus

Because they’re different, they bind together all the more tightly—a very special love story, meant to reach your heart too.

From Ichijinsha gateau comics “Kimi ni Sosogu”

I’ve been waiting for this!! A spin-off by Kumonosuke-sensei!!

This story follows Oshima-kun, a coworker of Ayumu Nanbara from the previous series “Shiawase ni Naru no sa!”—set during his college days. It tells the tale of his encounter with Ando-kun, and the conflicts and growing feelings shared between the two.

At this point in his life, Oshima-kun is described as “easygoing”, just as mentioned on the back cover. Regardless of gender, if someone was cute, he’d keep them close and make a move. With his attitude of never chasing those who leave, his friends would gently rein him in, but being around him gave the impression that he was someone who lived in a way that naturally made him likable as a person. In contrast, Ando-kun is the opposite—“rigid”, hard to approach, often alone, and carrying the distinctive air of a brilliant student, truly solitary. So cool…!! Because Ando-kun is calm and serious, keeping a bit of distance from those around him, Oshima-kun finds himself drawn in by a chance encounter and begins to speak to him.

The sheer power of a guy in glasses…!!!

I’m saying this loud and clear, but Oshima-kun is a must-see for anyone weak to gap appeal!! He appears all of a sudden at unexpected moments (completely unanticipated and out of the blue), so please read on with caution—do your best not to get shot through the heart and scattered to dust!! (That’s asking the impossible) (Signed, the site admin who was thoroughly reduced to dust)

Mayu-chan, the adorable little sister who absolutely loves her big brother, is endlessly cute.

She’s smart and adores her meticulous, reliable older brother. Unable to stand seeing him completely wrapped around Oshima-kun’s finger, her love runs so deep that she even storms onto his university campus!! It doesn’t take long for Mayu-chan to officially declare Oshima-kun her enemy (^^). She’s so adorable that, even after being labeled an enemy, Oshima-kun can’t help but be utterly smitten with both siblings. She questions why someone who has lived such an honest, straightforward life would need Oshima-kun so much. In response, Oshima-kun proposes a certain game to Mayu-chan—to see which of them gets to stay by Ando-kun’s side. That bet is downright unfair. Bringing in yet another gap like this—Oshima-kun, you’re terrifying…!!

Confronted with his past, he comes face to face with himself, struggles, and ultimately finds his answer with Oshima-kun…

The reason Ando-kun doesn’t make close friends now lies in something that happened during his high school years. By opening up to Oshima-kun about what started it all and how he should live going forward, he tries to face himself head-on. (It’s heartbreaking.) This part is especially tough to read, but Oshima-kun shares his feelings, telling Ando-kun that he doesn’t want him to keep believing he has to “live alone” from now on. Their exchange slowly and gently warms the heart.

Let’s take our time and watch over what comes next for the two of them…!! And also—don’t miss the bonus newly written story featuring Komatsu-kun and Nanbara-kun from the previous series!!
