One day, after getting caught up in some trouble, Komi is saved by Shizuka Kuroki, a closeted gay student from the same university. Being dragged into a room (※ just given shelter), heavy breathing (※ just from running)… There’s only one thing to do!!—or so Komi thinks, as he boldly comes on to Kuroki. But before he knows it, he finds himself linked by a collar and thoroughly taken by surprise……!?

This is Shikke-sensei’s memorable second comics, and also the work through which I first discovered the author—it left a huge impression on me (＾＾). Characters who are this open and honest about their desires feel refreshingly new, and Komi-kun is somehow impossible to dislike. It gave me a strong sense that I was about to experience something unlike anything before. In contrast, there’s Kuroki-kun, a “closeted gay” (someone who keeps their sexuality hidden). Though cool on the surface, his words and actions are filled with kindness, making it completely understandable why Komi-kun ends up falling for him (＾＾).

Each time he’s saved from trouble, he gets to experience that kindness firsthand.

Kuroki-kun is generally the cool, reserved type and doesn’t openly show his emotions, but even when Komi-kun lands himself in trouble of his own making, Kuroki still steps in to help him—and even when he tries to teach him a hard lesson, he ultimately keeps his word and follows through, showing that he’s truly a kind-hearted person. Wonderful. When someone who seems so dry on the surface turns out to have that kind of gap, it really steals your heart, doesn’t it…!! (And yes, this admin has already had theirs stolen.)

Komi-kun was such an infamous playboy that his friends were constantly warning him to give it a rest, and he was well-known on message boards as someone who always topped. But after unexpectedly being taken by Kuroki-kun, he ends up awakening to the role of the bottom.
