Until then, I tended to be drawn to styles with softer lines or clearly defined, bold linework, but this title was on a completely different level. From the title alone, my long-honed fujoshi instincts were already buzzing with “Yeah… this is probably one I’m going to love” (＾＾). The atmosphere the two characters give off on the cover, and the sheer ruggedness of Nitta-san’s abs being touched by the slit-eyed Mikajima-san… I was taken down instantly by that contrast…!!

It had become popular as an e-book and had personally caught my interest, but I waited for it to be released in print—and the impact when I finally read it for the first time…!!

The sheer wickedness of slit-eyed Mikajima-san…!!

I’ve always had an endless tendency to be drawn to characters with slit eyes who appear in stories—whether they’re main characters or supporting ones—but Mikajima-san was completely a “fall-into-the-abyss” type. The kind who drags you straight down, slowly and thoroughly. Irresistible, truly (＾＾). The way he carefully layers his words in inverted phrasing, weaving in glimpses of his true feelings little by little, until in the end he pulls everything right into the palm of his own hand—I’m utterly defeated by that masterful technique. At that point, there’s no way Nitta-san wouldn’t fall for him… or so you’d think. But there’s a reason this goes beyond just one or two extra layers.

Shocking revelation about Nitta-san’sprofession…!!

I could finally understand why he keeps his body so well-trained despite having a youthful appearance that often makes him look younger (＾＾). It wasn’t just a hobby— even after learning about Nitta-san’s profession, Mikajima-san continues to seriously corner him, determined to make him fall. And then there’s a moment where they can talk about a certain shared hobby, and Nitta-san is incredibly cute in that scene… Being able to get excited and talk deeply with someone who truly “gets” what you love is fun in any genre, isn’t it? (＾＾)

It leads into more intimate developments involving alcohol and questionable substances, but the finely detailed, sensual fingertips scattered throughout are absolutely incredible. It feels as though every usable part of the body is gradually being entwined—frightening, yet somehow making you want to surrender.
