Yanagi, who had always felt uneasy around his part-time senior Igarashi—with his black hair and boldly pierced ears, couldn’t help but harbor a sense of discomfort toward him. Then, at a drinking party one day, Yanagi’s eyes are drawn to Igarashi’s sharp teeth. Personally, I found myself wondering, “Why did he become so interested in his teeth?”—but considering what follows, it almost feels like it was simply fate. Unable to resist the urge, he reaches out, wanting to touch those teeth with his finger, and ends up getting bitten without meaning to.

After being bitten by Igarashi, Yanagi is left frightened by a strange sensation that seems to well up from deep inside him, sending shivers through his body. It truly shows just how incredibly skilled Sango-sensei is at depicting scenes that hit you right in your niche preferences…!! Works by Sango-sensei shine in how beautifully they capture that spine-tingling, unsettling feeling people experience—once you’ve felt it, a brand-new door is waiting for you…!! Just be careful, though—you might end up opening and slamming that door with enough force to snap the doorknob off (＾＾)

Despite how calm and easygoing Igarashi is when talking to anyone, the contrast created by his sharp teeth leaves a strong impression—and from a certain turning point, Yanagi ends up getting his piercings done at Igarashi’s place. When that happens, you can’t help but worry: Is Yanagi going to be okay? After all, the other guy is a popular senior, and there’s something about him that feels like he’s hiding something beneath the surface. Won’t he get pounced on? Is this really okay??—it pulls you in with the same anxious concern you’d have as an overprotective friend.

With the spicy developments approaching fast, this is especially something I want readers who love tearful expressions to pay close attention to—the way Yanagi unconsciously ends up accepting what’s happening to him. You can sense his growing unease about what might happen next purely through the atmosphere, and feel firsthand, straight from the page, how he’s gradually swept up by Igarashi. He’s adorable, yet also painfully pitiful… and for someone like me who’s a devoted happy-ending enthusiast, it hit me with a very personal shockwave. Even knowing my emotional HP would be drained, I couldn’t stop reading, desperate to know what would happen next… only to be met with an unexpected turn of events.

What began as a habit of biting—something that gave him a faint sense of possession—changes when Yanagi tries it himself and reacts far more strongly than expected. In that moment, the desire to keep him all to himself surges forward, and this is where something inside Igarashi begins to shift.
