Introducing Takeshobo’s BAMBOO COMICS Qpa Collection “Even So, He Will Become Mine Qpa Edition 1”!

Below is a quote from the back cover. This post includes impressions and a review that touch on the story! If you just want a quick idea of what it’s about, I’d be happy if you read only the red text and highlighted parts.

Izuki, an editor for a women’s magazine, is suddenly tasked with negotiating an interview for a column. However, the arrogant and sarcastic man who claims, “If you listen to this, you’ll be begging me in tears to write an article about me,” turns out to be a rising young conductor, Akito Sakaki, who was Izuki’s senior in high school.

Though reluctant, Izuki listens to the performance, and is soon overwhelmed by a thrilling sensation that seems to send shivers through his entire body.

Taking advantage of that moment of vulnerability, Sakaki’s forceful kiss leaves him completely melted―――.

The newly updated edition turns up the allure even more!!

Bosuko Takasaki(高崎ぼすこ)is truly exceptional at portraying black-haired dominant characters and strong-willed personalities, and I’ve loved this work even before it was released in this new edition… Since my experience with classical music is quite limited, my thoughts might be a bit biased, so I hope you’ll understand (lol)

And the combination of Sakaki’s allure as a conductor and Izuki, who carries emotional scars from how they first met in high school, is so captivating that it’s hard to imagine anyone not loving it—I was completely hooked! Now, I’d like to talk more about the story while diving into its highlights (^^)

Izuki, an editor for a women’s magazine, reunites with Sakaki during an interview for a column. At the time, he doesn’t realize that Sakaki is his former senior from high school and greets him as if they are meeting for the first time. However, Sakaki, displeased by this, closes the distance in an unexpectedly intense and forward way. (After finishing the story, this difference in perception somehow makes Sakaki come across as unexpectedly charming.) He really gives off an overwhelming sense of allure that leaves you completely captivated…!! It’s amazing…!!

After a painful experience in high school, Izuki had distanced himself from music. However, he finds himself drawn more and more to Sakaki—who is gaining attention as a rising conductor—captivated by the contrast between Sakaki’s usual demeanor and the seriousness with which he faces music as a conductor. Still, unable to be honest with himself, Itsuki puts up as much resistance as he can, but Sakaki’s confident, teasing nature handles it with ease. The charming dynamic between the adorable Izuki and the completely smitten Sakaki is highlighted through many emotionally intense scenes, making it an incredibly engaging read… it even left me flustered… I was almost breathless (true story)

Since this is Volume 1, I’m planning to talk about the following volumes on this blog as well, so please look forward to them! The included spin-off “Ver. Yamato” is also very enjoyable, so be sure to check it out too (^^)
