Let me introduce Houbunsha’s Hanaoto Comics, “Deki-ai Sandwich”!
The following is quoted from the back cover. This review does touch on the story’s content! If you just want a quick summary!! I’d be happy if you read only the red text and highlighted sections.
“Should the three of us date, or will you choose just one of us?”…―――
College student Tatsumi has two close friends. One is Ryoga, the most popular guy on campus, and the other is Masachika, a handsome but introverted guy.
Unable to bear keeping secrets from his closest friends any longer, Tatsumi comes out as gay on his 20th birthday. He’s moved to tears by the relief he feels when they warmly accept him—but that peace is short-lived, as Tatsumi is suddenly confronted by both of them, who admit that they felt “jealous” just imagining him dating another man.
When they ask him, “Should the three of us date, or will you choose just one?” he can’t even imagine becoming lovers with his precious best friends…!?
A troubled love triangle where he’s loved by both of his best friends at the same time ♥
From Houbunsha’s Hanaoto Comics, “Deki-ai Sandwich”
A must-read for anyone who loves doting, over-the-top romance!!
I’ve read several works by Yamada Papiko(山田パピコ), and among them, gateau Comics’ “GLOW” and Hanaoto Comics’ “I’m Clumsy, but I Love You” are particular favorites… but this is finally the first three-person romance featured on this blog…!! *This title is quite intense, so please proceed with caution if that’s not your thing (^^;
That said, if you love doting romance, this is absolutely something I want you to read!! Let me start by talking about the synopsis of this work!
Tatsumi, a college student whose glasses make him especially cute, has two best friends, each of whom is full of their own charm. When Tatsumi comes out and reveals that he’s actually gay, they try to treat him the same as always, and I started off feeling all warm and fuzzy, thinking how nice it was that he had such wonderful friends. …But that only lasted at the beginning (^^)
Ryoga, the most popular guy on campus, is a black-haired, experienced type, and he tends to toy with Tatsumi from time to time (lol). Not to be outdone, Masachika, who may call himself an introvert, has a beauty that turns into a powerful weapon the moment it’s revealed. The thought of how scary it would be when this otaku gets serious is oddly endearing—and just like that, things suddenly develop into a love triangle! It’s then that the two of them come to Tatsumi with a certain proposal.
A one-week, day-by-day rotating trial period!?
When they see Tatsumi spending time with other guys on campus, they start to feel uneasy, and when they imagine someone else dating him, they realize there’s an irrepressible sense of dissatisfaction between Ryoga and Masachika. Even Ryoga, who is experienced in romance, struggles with his feelings, while Masachika, who is almost completely inexperienced, agonizes even more. In the midst of this, they press Tatsumi with the idea of spending time together on a day-by-day rotation, asking him to think about which of them he enjoys being with more. Even though the three of them were supposed to be having fun together as best friends until now, this scene where they close in on him is heart-pounding and absolutely amazing (^^)
Intimate, sweet skinship between the three of them!! It’s irresistible!! People often describe this kind of thing as being “so sweet it makes your teeth hurt,” and that’s honestly spot on!! I lost count of how many sugar cubes worth of sweetness there were!! Reading it before bed feels like it might give you the sweetest dreams (purely a personal impression). I absolutely love blushing moments, so I was showered with an excessive amount of healing sweetness here too—thank you so much!!
This is a wonderful work I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who loves doting romance or is curious about three-person skinship—please be sure to check it out…!!
