Kobunsha BL Comics “His Little Amber: Volume 2” is the title I’ll be introducing!

The following is quoted from the back cover. This review does touch on the story’s content! If you just want a quick overview!! I’d be happy if you read only the red text and highlighted sections.

“Or do you think it would have been better if we’d never met?” …———

Koshiro had committed a sin in the heavenly realm and was cast down to the human world. The happiness he felt during his escape with Genji is fleeting, as Koshiro endures his worsening back pain alone, suffering in silence. When Genji witnesses that self-sacrificing 모습 born of caring for him, he leans in and presses a kiss—but……

Every “choice” was made out of concern for someone else―――when the truth behind Koshiro’s sin is finally revealed, Genji, too, is forced to face his final decision.

A precious, heartfelt exchange that isn’t just about caring for a heat cycle…!!

In the upper volume, the two of them come into physical contact as a way of dealing with a heat cycle, but little by little, the emotional distance between them begins to close. Eventually, they’re faced with the need to somehow address the pain in his back… and in this volume, those precious, heartfelt exchanges make your heart clench tight. It’s no longer just about sadness—there’s a deep, unmistakable tenderness expressed throughout, and it was absolutely wonderful.

The sin committed by Koshiro, who was in fact a fallen angel cast down from heaven

As time passes, the source of the pain becomes impossible to endure—it’s the wings trying to grow back. From the upper volume appears Koshiro’s older brother, “Hinatsu” (a black-haired, long-haired, strikingly handsome angel), along with his right-hand companion, “Io” (a dark-skinned, fragile-looking beautiful angel), who attempt to take Koshiro back to the heavenly realm. However, having exchanged a promise to stay together, Genji chooses to flee with Koshiro. Even as the two allow themselves to bask—if only briefly—in feelings of happiness, they are ultimately forced to make a certain decision.

When one man is no longer alone, he learns that the one who had been by his side was an angel who had been transformed into an animal. As the truth behind the sin Koshiro committed comes to light, Genji resolves to send him back to the heavenly realm. However, that choice is the same as losing someone utterly irreplaceable to him. It’s heartbreaking.(I was sobbing uncontrollably at this point

I truly hope you’ll witness together the future the two of them choose at the climax.

There are also delightful touches, such as appearances by characters from Natsume-sensei’s other works, which makes this another highlight to enjoy (^^).
