Having been bullied by his older sister and seniors since childhood, Takayasu—an “elite victim of bullying” ends up catching the attention of Itsuki, a smiling yet sadistic S…. There’s no way Takayasu can stand up to Itsuki, who has a natural-born bully’s disposition, and he’s teased, tricked, and verbally toyed with—until finally, Takayasu himself ends up being deliciously devoured!?

This is the work through which I first discovered Nitto-sensei, and I was instantly drawn in by the cover—Takayasu-kun depicted as a tiny figure who looks as if he could be devoured at any moment was just too cute (^^). Itsuki may look gentle at first glance, but he’s actually an outrageously hardcore sadist…!! Having grown up being teased and picked on by those around him, Takayasu has been searching for someone who will accept him kindly. Since his family runs a deli, he’s also a guy who’s great at cooking. He’s very straightforward and easy to read emotionally, so you’d think he’d be popular—but the people he’s met so far haven’t accepted him so easily, and he’s had a pretty rough time of it, which really makes you sympathize with him…. In the midst of all that, Itsuki, a regular customer, unexpectedly starts to take an interest in Takayasu.

He ends up regularly going over to Itsuki’s place to cook meals, basically living the life of a wife…!

When you put it into words, it sounds almost heartwarming—but for Takayasu, it’s actually a pretty tough situation… and then he ends up being taken by force, but… spicy Takayasu being this cute is basically a crime. No wonder Itsuki can’t help but take a liking to him…!! (^^) As they end up doing it several times, their relationship gradually turns into a friends-with-benefits arrangement. Wanting to be truly loved, Takayasu goes to Itsuki to try and put an end to that relationship. It’s a slightly nerve-wracking story that really shows just how difficult it can be to honestly confess your feelings (^^). He’s so easily swayed just because Itsuki is handsome—Takayasu is such a softie, it makes you worry about him…!!

And at the same time, the volume also includes a spin-off story featuring a senior who likes to tease Takayasu. This one follows a couple made up of longtime bad friends, and it’s a slightly bittersweet story. Watching them figure out what needs to change for their relationship to become romantic—after everything they’ve been through so far—is engaging and fun, with great emotional pacing and chemistry (^^).

The way both couples struggle and do their best is really fun to watch, and personally, I also loved how the detailed depictions of deli food seriously made me hungry!!! I definitely hope you’ll pay attention to that aspect as well (^^).
