Introducing “I Hate You, So Let Me Stay: Asanaga-sensei and Yanagi-sensei” from Libre Publishing’s BBOC (Be×Boy Omegaverse Comics)!

The following is quoted from the back cover. This review does touch on the story’s content! If you just want a quick overview!! I’d be happy if you read only the red text and highlighted sections.

“It absolutely has to be Yanagi-sensei…―――――”

Elementary school teachers “Asanaga” and “Yanagi” share a relationship that is more than friends, but not quite lovers. Their connection began with Asanaga’s intense pursuit, but because Yanagi is an Omega (Ω) with a secondary gender and carries trauma related to his family, he finds it difficult to be proactive when it comes to Asanaga.

So when Asanaga begins to notice that Yanagi occasionally gives off a sweet scent, what will he do…?

The side-couple story from the mega-hit “I Hate You, So Let Me Stay” is a gentle love story about a timid teacher.

From Libre Publishing’s BBOC, “I Hate You, So Let Me Stay: Asanaga-sensei and Yanagi-sensei.”

I’ve been waiting for this—Hijiki-sensei’s spin-off!!!

In the hugely popular Omegaverse title “I Hate You, So Let Me Stay”, these two teachers appear a little later in the story: Asanaga-sensei, who can seemingly do anything, and Yanagi-sensei, who may look intimidating but is actually very kind. As someone who absolutely loves character gaps, Asanaga-sensei was a total bullseye for me. In the main story, he works so hard to approach Yanagi-sensei that I couldn’t help but keep hoping—if at all possible—for a main story focused on the two of them. That long-held wish finally came true, and I was absolutely over the moon (^^)

The theory that someone turns handsome once they take off their glasses isn’t wrong at all…!!

Because of his past trauma, Yanagi-sensei finds it hard to respond to Asanaga-sensei’s feelings and physical closeness, and while feeling a bit apologetic, he unknowingly drops an emotional bomb…!! This completely flips Asanaga-sensei’s switch (there’s a scene where he takes off his glasses, and the gap is just insane), so from the reader’s perspective it’s like, please make it through safely…!! I couldn’t stop grinning the whole time (^^). These two have scenes that perfectly fit the phrase “yes, give me more of this,” and they are absolutely the best!

That sudden switch into full-on samurai mode is just too cute…!!

The scenes where they both get flustered by sudden physical closeness are adorable, but beyond that, the way the two of them carry themselves as teachers when facing their students, as well as Yanagi-sensei struggling with his past while Asanaga-sensei reaches out to support him, will absolutely make your chest ache—in the best way possible. In the climax, the interaction with Yanagi-sensei’s aunt, who is the source of his past trauma, is truly tear-inducing. I honestly want to give Asanaga-sensei the “Best Boyfriend Ever” award for trying so hard to support him through such painful emotions…!! Having someone who will go that far for the person they love is incredibly reassuring on an emotional level. It’s frustrating that I can only convey this from a reader’s perspective…!! If I could, I’d want to be the wall in the room where the two of them spend their time together…. Please make sure to see it through all the way to the end (^^).
