Libre Publishing B-boy Comics “Mask Danshi wa Koi Shitakunai no ni” — let me introduce this title!

The following is quoted from the back cover. This review does touch on the story’s content! If you just want a quick summary!! I’d be happy if you read only the red text and highlighted sections.

“They say the mouth is a second sexual organ…” …―――――

Sayama, a gloomy boy who always hides his face behind a mask, loses his temper when Saikawa, one of the popular kids in class, forcibly pulls off his mask. From that day on, Saikawa takes an interest in him, and in exchange for help with studying, Sayama ends up agreeing to let Saikawa do as he likes beneath the mask!?

Even though he hates having his bare face, lips, and mouth touched, he somehow can’t bring himself to refuse…

A teasing troublemaker with unreadable intentions × a mask-wearing boy who’s always being toyed with—an awkward, slow-burning, and slightly naughty sexual-awakeningBL that hits all the right fetishes

From Libre Publishing B-boy Comics “Mask Danshi wa Koi Shitakunai no ni”

Released in 2020, I was drawn to this title by its fresh, never-seen-before concept. I’d already found it interesting and memorable back when it was being serialized on pixiv. Around that time, masks had become an essential part of everyday life. I remember how unfamiliar yet refreshing it felt to see something I wore myself appear so naturally within a story.

Saikawa-kun’s level of teasing is just unreal…!!!

You know the type—kids who tease the ones they like the most. He’s exactly that kind of guy (^^)

For those wondering what “inkya” even means, here’s a quick explanation! Picture your class back in your student days. It refers to students who don’t belong to the loud, lively groups, but instead enjoy reading, studying on their own, or focusing on their schoolwork—generally the type who expands their own world individually.

This interpretation is based solely on how the term is used and reviewed on this blog, so please understand that it does not necessarily apply to every work that uses the same wording

For those wondering what “yankya” means, here’s another quick note! (※see above) It refers to people who belong to lively, outgoing groups and are also“riajuu”—those whose everyday lives are fulfilling through their own efforts or circumstances.

Sayama-kun started wearing a mask because of something that happened in his past, and that detail catches Saikawa-kun’s attention, leading him to talk to him without hesitation and constantly tease him. Normally, you’d expect at least some consideration for someone who spends their days wearing a mask, but Saikawa-kun shows absolutely no mercy (^^)

That past incident became a trauma for Sayama-kun, and once Saikawa-kun learns about it, he reaches beneath the mask, trying to entangle even Sayama-kun’s true feelings. As he toys with him through the lightest touch of his fingertips, he’s struck straight through the heart by reactions he’s never seen before, and before they know it, Sayama-kun and Saikawa-kun begin to be drawn to each other. So good…! I absolutely love this whole progression…!!

To avoid failing his exams, he lets Saikawa-kun do as he likes beneath the mask, and the tension and racing heartbeat gradually shift into an awareness of being touched—it was incredible! I want to keep watching over the process of how the two of them come to care for each other from here on out…!!
