“You never listen to a word I say!!”

Assigned as a subordinate to the extremely intimidating yet highly capable boss, “Kitakami,” new employee “Kominami” throws himself into his work at headquarters, carrying frustration and a hint of confusion—having not been posted to the regional office he’d hoped for, and finding himself under a boss he was never meant to work with. What’s more, his heart never truly rests as he spends his days under the steady gaze of the usually expressionless Kitakami. With stress piling up from all sides, Konami accepts an invitation to drink from Kitakami—and in a drunken moment, he ends up letting his complaints spill out. The next morning, he wakes up to an unbelievable situation…?

This was the work through which I first discovered Azumi Tsuna-sensei, and it swept me straight into the deep sea of the world they created. (my metaphorical vocabulary has completely evaporated)

Was doting love always this good…???

The sheer impact of Kitakami-san, who completely overturns every expectation of being a “definitely scary boss,” is just incredible…!! (this is praise) With just the slightest change in expression, Kominami’s cuteness sends our thoughts spinning nonstop, and it’s impossible not to melt. Before I knew it, my own face had completely softened—this must be what it means to be defeated by moe (^^). Simply the best.

The way he expresses his love for the person he adores—a little clumsy, a little troublesome, and utterly adorable—makes this a story you’ll want to read again and again. I hope you’ll join me in diving into the deep sea of devoted love (^^)
