As this work marks the author’s memorable debut comic, I was drawn in right from the cover. From the expression of the uke to the way the seme’s hand is placed firmly against his back, the blatantly possessive composition hit me straight in my weak spot…!! I instantly knew this was going to be a series I’d fall for. My well-honed fujoshi radar reacted at an absurd speed (lol).

Thinking from the title that the story would revolve around a next-door neighbor, I started reading with that expectation—only to be met with Σ(´∀｀；) a surprising opening scene that immediately sets an intimate tone… my heart just wouldn’t stop racing. Asato’s sense of curiosity is truly impressive; what began as part of his work as a writer—reviewing adult novelty items—gradually became something he continued as a personal pursuit. With a sultry expression, using the items, Asato is depicted unraveling in a beautifully sensual way. This is dangerous.

Asato, who soothes himself using his neighbor’s private affairs as fuel for his imagination, spends his nights unable to hide the excitement that stirs within a sense of guilt. Through a simulated experience of being held, he begins to wonder what would happen if he were truly loved for real—and so he finally moves to put his one-night plan into action.

There, he meets Saku-san, a well-built man who looks clearly experienced. The black-haired young man, who appears to be a few years younger than Asato, steps in to save him when he is about to get into an accident. In the moment, Asato ends up blurting out his true feelings—and that naturally leads them to a hotel. Though confused by the unfamiliar turn of events, Asato entrusts himself to the moment at last…!! And just like that, he is able to safely make it through his very first experience.

So… his first encounter wasn’t actually with the neighbor next door!?

With an unexpected fantasy element woven in, this work introduced me to the concept of “Shitonegurui” (bedroom obsession)—and it turned out to be packed with outrageous charm. The melting, tender progression that follows emotions entrusted for the very first time keeps your eyes glued to the page. Asato is endlessly cute and alluring throughout. The composition, the angles—everything felt perfectly to my taste, leaving me thoroughly satisfied with the subtly enticing depictions (^^)

This is a work you can thoroughly enjoy right through to the very end, so I highly recommend reading it for yourself…!!
