Nice to meet you, I’m Toramaru, a thirty-something with over 20 years of experience enjoying BL. (^^) Let me briefly introduce myself.
Administrator (Master): Toramaru.(虎丸。)
When I was a teenager, I borrowed a manga recommended by a friend without realizing it was a BL title, and that became the moment I unknowingly stepped into that world—eventually becoming a perfectly fujoshi. Starting with fan works, I went on to browse what are now nostalgic personal websites, and in my twenties, I began collecting commercially published comics (without worrying about the price). Before I knew it, the number of manga, novels, quarterly magazines, monthly magazines, and digital comics I had read had grown to far too many to count.
On this blog, as someone with a long history of enjoying BL, I hope to share its preciousness—even just a little—with both those who already find BL beautiful and those who may not yet feel that way. I want this to be a place where readers can discover empathy, warmth, and new comfort. That’s why I refer to myself not so much as an administrator, but rather as a café-like “Master”, someone who creates a welcoming atmosphere (^^).
Favorite Themes: Happy Endings・Devoted Love
I believe that the true essence of BL lies in “how one can make the other unknowingly, thoroughly, and without malice become deeply attached to oneself.” Thankfully, there are an incredible number of works in this world, spanning many genres, each portraying different forms of love. Many of them are so precious it almost hurts (and I mean that as praise), allowing us to sink beautifully into the depths of obsession. Still, unless a story ultimately delivers “devoted love” and a “happy ending”, the reader’s heart never quite feels rewarded… That said, if this blog were to focus only on happy endings, it could mean missing out on opportunities to encounter new forms of healing! (which would be such a waste) I aim to write about BL as broadly as possible, so that when you stop by from time to time, you might casually think, “Oh, they’ve read this one too,” and enjoy reading along with a light heart (^^).
