Introducing Tokyo Mangasha, MARBLE COMICS “Sukebe no Seishun”!

The following is quoted from the back cover. This review does touch on the story’s content! If you just want a quick overview!! I’d be happy if you read only the red text and highlighted sections.

Innocent—therefore chaotic. …―――――

Mitamura, a virgin who nevertheless has very strong opinions about what it means to be “lewd,” happens to notice that his classmate and friend, “Hayami,” absolutely never takes his clothes off in front of others. Good-looking, talented both academically and athletically—Hayami is a school idol straight out of a shōjo manga. So why doesn’t he ever undress…? What exactly is Hayami hiding……? And why am I feeling this strangely worked up about it all………?

Overwhelmed by confusion and desire, his hands move on their own, and Mitamura ends up creating an inappropriate composite image of Hayami. But then Hayami himself finds out about it—?!

Innocent—therefore chaotic―――

From the eccentric genius Hata Takashi comes a uniquely offbeat youth romantic comedy.

From Tokyo Mangasha, MARBLE COMICS “Sukebe no Seishun”

Boys who throweverything they haveinto their cheeky impulses—high school boys are just too cute…!!

This was the work through which I first discovered Hata-sensei (^^). The retro art style caught my eye right from the cover, so I bought it right away! It’s wonderful and so entertaining!! The atmosphere of the two standing in the sunset on the cover is gentle and absolutely perfect…!!

The青春 shared by the fresh, shōjo-manga–worthy handsome boy “Hayami” and the quiet, pent-up virgin “Mitamura” is so entertaining that I couldn’t stop turning the pages! Mitamura may look cool on the outside, but his thoughts are constantly filled with lewd ideasadorable (^^). The fact that he wears glasses makes it even better for gap lovers, and his unwavering curiosity and pursuit of all things lewd, going strong since middle school, is truly impressive. In contrast, Hayami is good at sports and academics alike—a perfect boy admired by everyone—and I felt that this contrast between the two is one of the story’s biggest charms (^^).

A wonderful development where the sudden closeness between the two makes the reader’s heart race…!!

I’ve often found myself wondering what kinds of conversations boys actually have, and while some parts can be filled in with imagination when creating a story, the interactions between friends feel so real that you can easily believe, “Yeah, this might actually be how it is,” even without knowing firsthand—and they made me laugh out loud (^^). As Hayami’s childhood friend appears and a group of girls gathers around, the story continues to unfold in a lively, energetic way.

Drawn in by the mystery of someone who never undresses… where will this mistake lead?!

Normally, if you found out that you’d been involved in a composite image made without your permission, you’d be angry and want to keep your distance—but Hayami isn’t quite like that… (though he is taken aback). Why is he able to be so open-hearted…? The answer lies in his personality. (He’s fundamentally kind to just about everyone.) Carrying a sense of guilt, Mitamura gradually finds himself drawn to Hayami’s character as he comes to know him better. No matter how it begins, the scene where feelings are expressed honestly is especially wonderful…!!

When it comes to the steamy developments, pay close attention…! Especially the sweet, heart-melting scenes in the latter half are absolutely exhilarating!! As they come to know each other more deeply, they’re faced with growing inner conflicts and the challenge of accepting those feelings. Youth is full of “choices about the future,” and I truly hope you’ll follow the story through to the end to see what kind of “new relationship” the two of them will form…!!
