Shinshokan Dear+ Comics “Takara no Bidoro” is the title I’ll be introducing!

The following is quoted from the back cover. This review does touch on the story’s content! If you just want a quick idea of what it’s about, I’d be happy if you read only the red text and highlighted sections.

“Does that mean I just need to keep trying until my senior’s ‘like’ reaches 100%?” …———

Unable to forget Takara, who once comforted him when he was crying, Daishin moves to Tokyo from his hometown of Fukuoka. However, when they reunite at university, Takara coldly pushes him away. Even so, Daishin refuses to give up and keeps pursuing him—while, on the other hand, Takara finds himself unable to look away from Daishin’s honest, straightforward gaze, and little by little, his feelings begin to change…?

From Shinshokan Dear+ Comics “Takara no Bidoro”

The protagonist’s pure-hearted nature feels like it cleanses your soul…!!

I think there are moments when anyone feels a little mentally worn out (whether it’s because of work or relationships)… And with nothing more than the desire to say thank you to the person who comforted him, to meet them and be closer, and—if possible—to touch them, Daishin leaves the familiar comfort of his hometown and heads straight to Takara-senpai. He’s just too pure… it makes all your fatigue melt away. Bring the pages a little closer and you’ll find yourself wanting to cover your eyes—such is the blast of pure-hearted energy. Irresistible. Adorable. This is what it truly means to be earnest and devoted. Pure simplicity—the kind of feeling you just want to replenish yourself with—is right here.

The university friends Daishin meets after moving to Tokyo share something common across all of Suzumaru-sensei’s works (at least, that’s just my personal impression)—there are no mean-spirited or unpleasant people. It’s a gentle, kind-hearted world. That said, it’s not a world that’s merely soft or overly idealized. That’s what makes it so remarkable.

Can a sharp-tongued guy with long hair really be this incredibly cool?Is it even fair for him to be this good?

It was unbelievably good. I’d been feeling lately that there’s some kind of unspoken BL rule where—even if someone has a sharp tongue—being good-looking somehow makes it acceptable(which is a very misleading way to put it)… or so I thought(again, misleading phrasing). But Takara-senpai is simply honest to a fault. Is it really wrong to say exactly what you’re thinking? He’s aware that his words can come off as harsh, yet he still carefully takes in Daishin’s reactions one by one. He’s attentive and caring—and yet, he pierces you with that cool, unwavering gaze. How many hearts does one need to survive all this swooning…??

The emotional capacity of this person is seriouslyhuge

When you reach that point, all you can think is, there’s no way you wouldn’t fall in love. Every time Daishin’s heart skips a beat, the reader gets shot straight through as well. Even the expressions of the supporting friends are drawn in a soft, charming way within the panels, and so many characters are enjoyable down to the smallest details (^^). It’s just plain fun.

With unexpected mishaps along the way, the process of their growing closeness sends emotions soaring to the limit. Please be sure to see through the climax of Daishin, who you can’t help but cheer for, and Takara-senpai, who may actually have a surprisingly soft, affectionate side! You’re guaranteed to feel your eyes grow warm with a deep sense of emotional fulfillment (^^)
