I first became interested in this series after reading one of Aki Ueda (上田アキ)'s spin-off works, and I'm so glad I picked it up. It's a story about two former lovers who unexpectedly reunite years after their breakup, and I absolutely loved it. It was exactly my kind of story (＾＾)

First of all, I absolutely adored the freckled protagonist. It may not be the most fitting way to describe a grown man, but there's something incredibly endearing about how easily he's swept along by the situation...!! Seriously, someone needs to tell him to stand his ground and protect himself with a little more determination! (lol) On a completely unrelated note, why do so many black-haired characters in the BL manga I read end up being the possessive type...? Maybe one day I'll have to seriously investigate that mystery. (Or maybe I'll just keep enjoying it. 😂) Now then, let's dive into the story itself (＾＾)

Even though they both already have partners...!!

To be honest, I personally can't stand cheating!! ( ﾟДﾟ)!! I'm a huge fan of unwavering devotion, after all. (That was a rather sudden confession.) So even if you happen to run into an ex, I believe there are lines you simply shouldn't cross—especially when both of you are already in relationships!! And yet, this man named Kazuaki (no honorifics intended) shows absolutely no hesitation in pursuing Hiroharu. Even though they both know it's wrong, and even though Hiroharu believed he had already moved on, the two end up spending the night together after going out for drinks. (´；ω；｀)… That said... Hiroharu is just too adorable when he can't bring himself to push Kazuaki away...!!

Caught between a man who never says enough... and the partner who helped heal his broken heart

Back in high school, Hiroharu and his then-boyfriend broke up after having to live apart when one of them moved to Tokyo. Not long after the heartbreak, Hiroharu met his current boyfriend, Natsurō, in a park. A kind and dependable office worker... who also wears glasses (a personal bonus point for me). The days Hiroharu spent with Natsurō were genuinely happy, and it seemed like he had finally been able to move on from his past relationship. But then came that unexpected reunion. I honestly felt so much for Natsurō...!! Ugh... my heart was aching for him. It was just too heartbreaking...!!
