Core Magazine drap COMICS DX (Drap Comics Deluxe) “When Love Falls” is the title I’ll be introducing!

The following is quoted from the back cover. This review does touch on the story’s content! If you just want a quick idea of what it’s about, I’d be happy if you read only the red text and highlighted sections.

“Would you have no interest in an older man?” …———

One night, just after Ise has been dumped by his boyfriend, a pair of underwear suddenly falls from the sky onto his head. The owner turns out to be a man named Hishimoto, who gives off an air that makes him hard to ignore, and the two end up retrieving the laundry together after it gets caught. When Ise goes up to Hishimoto’s place after being told he wants to thank him, Hishimoto confesses that he had actually been interested in Ise and deliberately dropped the laundry on purpose. On top of that, he presses him with the words, “Would you have no interest in an older man?”—and then…?

The sheer overwhelming power of a handsome older man…!!!

This is the very book that introduced me to Ueda Aki(上田アキ), and it’s the work that made me fall head over heels for the irresistible charm of a handsome older man. At first, Ise is fresh off a breakup and simply finds himself drawn in by Hishimoto’s mature, alluring presence—but watching that feeling slowly shift into genuine attraction is just…!!! Absolutely perfect!

Because of his overly caring, almost motherly nature—or maybe it’s just his personality, Ise has gone through one heartbreak after another, and little by little, he’s healed by Hishimoto’s presence and begins to feel accepted. Even so, Ise struggles internally. Is it really okay to fall in love like this? What if it turns out the same way as before? What if he gets rejected—no, maybe it would be better if… Those thoughts pile up every time he meets Hishimoto, making these scenes painfully heavy. And yet, in that moment, Hishimoto’s deep, overwhelming affection gently wraps around him.

The sheer emotional depth and warmth of a handsome older man…!!!

The balance between Ise, who naturally wants to devote himself to others and Hishimoto, who’s highly capable at work but hopeless at household chores is absolutely perfect. Watching how they support and are supported by each other is incredibly emotionally fulfilling. The steamy developments leading up to the climax are portrayed with remarkably realistic breaths, making your heart rate skyrocket. Please let yourself be swept away by the subtle changes in these two hearts (^^)

And since a sequel has already been released, I’ll be introducing that in a future blog post as well—so please look forward to it!
