We’re introducing “Torokete Hiraite” from Overlap, LiQulle Comics!
The following is quoted from the back cover. This review does touch on the story’s content! If you just want a quick overview!! I’d be happy if you read only the red text and highlighted sections.
“Please hold me until I melt completely”…———
Natsume, a rookie editor, is assigned to work with the notoriously tyrannical yet wildly successful erotic novelist, “Ryunosuke Takemoto.” The very first condition Takemoto—selfish and difficult as ever—demands for the job is “to be held and assist with the writing of a sensual novel.” After much deliberation, Natsume reluctantly agrees to the terms, but…
“You know, it actually feels good back there too, doesn’t it?”
“It’s been feeling really tight inside for a while now, hasn’t it?”
Following the provocative words read aloud, Takemoto lays bare Natsume’s body and holds him with overwhelming intensity. Again and again, he is taught pleasures he has never known before—and what awaits beyond that…?
From Overlap, LiQulle Comics “Torokete Hiraite”
This is the work through which I first discovered Sugar Peropero(しゅがーぺろぺろ), making it a truly memorable debut comic!! Right from the cover, we’re greeted by Natsume, the protagonist, wearing an alluring expression, alongside Takemoto, casting an intensely possessive gaze our way… it was far more intense than I ever imagined…!!! The distinctive use of color immediately stands out—deeper, richer tones layered with finely detailed character linework that naturally draws the eye. I love it.
A surge of heightened emotions, the momentum of the intense portrayal, and waves of sensual allure that seem to flow straight off the page.
After the company he worked for went bankrupt, Natsume found himself with nowhere to go. Just then, a college friend suggested he try working as a novel editor, and he ends up being assigned as Takemoto’s editor. It’s hard not to wonder why Natsume—who has no prior experience—was chosen to handle such a bestselling author, but he is appointed simply as “the person whose job is to collect the manuscripts.” Known as a “tyrant” who has driven away every editor before him, Takemoto glares at Natsume from their very first meeting and speaks bluntly without restraint, steadily wearing down his mental state. As you read on, thinking to yourself that you’d never want to work under a boss like this… it somehow becomes almost too outrageous to handle (and yes, that’s a compliment), leaving you overwhelmed…!!
A shocking scenario where he’s made to experience the content of an erotic novel while reading it…?!
You can’t help but think, “What do you mean??!”—right? You did, didn’t you? I found myself trying to take it all in with about three question marks floating over my head. The truth is, Takemoto was actually the novelist whom Natsume had loved since his student days—the very author whose books he adored so much that they made him want to become an editor in the first place: “Takeda-sensei.” Determined to have him return to the days when he wrote pure literature under a different pen name, Natsume decides to take on the role of his editor. He then tells Takemoto that he wants him to write pure literature once again, even though he now writes nothing but erotic novels. To make that happen, however, a certain condition is presented. The nickname “tyrant” proves to be no exaggeration. “If you want realism in what I’m writing now, then offer your body for it.” …Wait, isn’t that taking the whole ‘tyrant’ thing way too far?
Hidden within all of this was a certain intention on Takemoto’s part. Forced to keep reading while receiving one unrelenting caress after another, Natsume’s desperate struggle was both pitiful and exquisitely beautiful. Clutching his manuscript pages as he’s subjected to merciless touches, his body overwhelmed from within, the sight of his earnest longing for the pure literature he once loved is simply irresistible.
They can’t stay together while holding onto the regrets they have now…!!
Though Natsume has endured countless humiliating moments, the impact of meeting him at a book signing long ago rekindles a dream he once gave up on, and he resolves to pursue it once more—heading straight toward Takemoto. You can’t help but want to cheer him on; the dignified, determined expression he wears is truly wonderful…!!
At the climax, you get to witness and savor the most beautifully intense moments and emotional fluctuations yet. For those who haven’t read it yet, please be sure to see through the fate of these two, awkward yet earnestly seeking love. (^^)
