A series I've been eagerly following on social media has finally been released as a book!!

I first discovered Shizuma (シズマ)'s work through a post that happened to appear on my social media feed (＾＾). From that moment on, I looked forward to every new update and followed the series on Pixiv, always hoping that one day it would be published as a book. And now it finally has... I'm so happy...!! At last, I can take my time enjoying all of Asuka-kun's adorably troubled expressions! Needless to say, every part of me was absolutely thrilled（笑）.

Even if horror or ghost stories aren't usually your thing, I'd still highly recommend giving this one a try!!

As you read from the very beginning, you might find yourself thinking, “Is this going to be scary...?” However, before long, that sense of fear is strangely replaced by curiosity. Kaii-san, a mysterious being with no visible eyes, first meets Asuka-kun, a recent university graduate, in a park at night...

Asuka-kun, who had been a member of an occult research club during his university days, was on his way home from work one evening when he caught sight of a large figure, roughly the height of a streetlamp, at the edge of his vision. Thinking it must have been his imagination, he continued on his way. However, he was suddenly spoken to from behind by an enormous man—well over two meters tall—dressed in a black suit, who would later come to be known as Kaii-san.

His hands are enormous too—his fingers are long enough to comfortably cover an entire human head. ...Isn't that absolutely terrifying? And yet, despite being frightened, Asuka-kun honestly tries to communicate with him and treats the situation surprisingly normally. Just when I was thinking what a genuinely good kid he is, I found myself enjoying another side of him as well. Not only is he adorable, but when interacting with Kaii-san, he's surprisingly straightforward and isn't afraid to speak his mind. It's a side of him you might not expect at first (＾＾)

Kaii-san is a mysterious being who occasionally gives off some serious perfect-boyfriend vibes.

To be honest, these two are so different that it's not even just a matter of a height or size gap—their very physical forms are completely unlike each other. Yet Kaii-san has a surprisingly stylish side, wearing piercings and often sporting a slicked-back hairstyle. He's always dressed in a suit, and every time he casually enters and exits Asuka-kun's room, his hair seems to be a different length. (This is just my speculation, but it feels like he could probably change the length of his hair at will.) Although he doesn't actually need to eat to survive, he still wants to share meals with Asuka-kun, and moments like these are incredibly cute and heartwarming. They always leave me feeling comforted and relaxed.

There are so many adorable moments throughout the story—sudden back hugs, lap cuddles, and more—that I honestly can't choose a favorite...!! There’s one scene in particular that I absolutely love, but I think this is the kind of series where every reader ends up finding plenty of special moments of their own. So, I'll stop myself from saying any more and leave the rest for you to discover...! I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! (That was a very sudden confession.)

Please experience the interactions between Kaii-san, who occasionally lets his weirdly eccentric side show, and the unbelievably adorable Asuka-kun for yourself...!!
